She has win SuperPipe gold three times, in 2007, 2008 and 2009: Sarah Burke is the undisputed star of women's freestyle skiing, which she did much to help develop by becoming the first woman to perform 720, 900 and 1080° turns in competition. A comprehensive roster of moves and tricks, with an amplitude that proves popular with spectators and judges alike. In 2007, she became the first woman skier to receive the ultimate accolade of being named ESPN best athlete of the year, in the alternative sports category.
